Grain Free Dog Treats
Why Max & Ruffy’s makes a grain free dog treat
When we started Max & Ruffy’s we had our original three flavors of Mother Quinoa’s Pumpkin Patch (wheat free), W.P. Pizza (formerly known as Wolf Peach & Herb), and Molasses Explosion 1919. Things were going along just fine but we noticed that some dogs were not able to enjoy the incredible taste of Max & Ruffy’s due to their grain free diet! We just couldn’t bare this – no dog should be neglected of the best dog treats available. So, we decided to launch Max & Ruffy’s grain free dog treats! To achieve this we chose to use buckwheat flour as our base. Buckwheat, or for those of you who prefer the scientific name, Fagopyrum esculentum, is a plant thereby making it a completely grain free and gluten free flour! The buckwheat plant produces triangular seeds which are used to make the flour. With a rich, nutty flavor, this flour is perfect for making grain free dog treats. Being as it is a courser flour, it allows for a nice crunchy texture that dogs love.
These grain free dog treats are perfect for dogs that are allergic to wheat or other grains, are on a raw diet, or are restricted from eating grains for other reasons. With flavors like Five-Star Blueberry, Powerhouse: Sweet Potato & Alfalfa, and The Kelp Highway: Butternut Squash & Kelp, these easily digestible grain free dog treats are sure to be a hit for your dog.
